The year 2021 was also a year of radical and lasting changes for business consultants, accountants and IT service providers in Austria. Nevertheless, many UBIT companies look to the future and the year 2022 with confidence. “With the ’18th Austrian IT & Consultant Day ‘we would like to close the year 2021 on a positive note and look optimistically into the next year,” said Alfred Harl, Chairman of the Association for Management Consulting, Accounting and IT (UBIT) of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce (WKÖ), as part of a press cocktail on Monday.
After it had to be postponed in 2020 due to the pandemic, the meanwhile “18th Austrian IT and Consultant Day” will take place again on November 25th in the Vienna Hofburg. According to the motto “The Future Is Now”, the event is dominated by the upturn in the UBIT industry and the Austrian economy after the pandemic. This year the focus is on the question: “What can a future after Corona look like for the UBIT industries?” Alfred Harl has a clear forecast: “There will be a successful future in the age of digital transformation”.
In addition to top-class guests such as EU Commission President Ursula van der Leyen, EU Parliament Vice President Othmar Karas, both of whom are connected via video, and Federal Minister for EU and Constitution Karoline Edtstadler, there will be lectures by Barbara Juen from the University of Innsbruck and Gregor List from AVL List. This will be followed by three exciting discussion panels on the topics of cryptocurrencies, sustainability, digitization and knowledge management. This year, the Microstages are going into the second round with 30 lectures. Through the evening leads again Pulse-4-Moderator and Robert Hochner Prize winner Alexandra Wachter. (red)
