Ubisoft’s financial report reveals that Skull and Bones has been delayed again and the publisher has canceled three more games

According to Axios journalist Steven Totilo, Ubisoft has postponed Skull and Bones for the thousandth time. At the same time, it canceled the development of three as yet unannounced games.

It is believed that this was all due to extremely negative sales in the last fiscal year, which forced drastic cost-cutting decisions. This is not about the four games canceled in July, but about three new games. Thus, the company intends to save 200 million US dollars.

As for Skull and Bones, no rescheduling has been announced yet, but at the time of its financial report, Ubisoft talked about a planned launch at the beginning of the 2023-2024 fiscal year, i.e. after March 31, 2023. The currently stated release date is March 9, 2023, which is inconsistent with this new information. In any case, let’s wait for the official statement from the French publisher before we can say for sure. Perhaps it was just a mistaken wording.
