During the promotion of the Ubisoft Plus subscription, which offers more than 100 games, the publisher announced that the service will be available on Game Pass “soon”.
It was Post by Ubisoft Netherlands in response to a fan’s comment asking them to include it in their Xbox Game Pass subscription. They simply replied “soon” and suggested discontinuing the subscription to Game Pass.
To update: Ubisoft has clarified its comment and issued the following statement.
“Sorry for the confusion! We need to clear things up. Ubisoft+ is coming to Xbox in the future, but nothing is known about Xbox Game Pass yet. For example, Rainbow Six Extraction is already available for Xbox Game Pass. Sorry for the false hopes! Further information on this topic is not yet known.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate currently offers an EA Play subscription in addition to Game Pass for PC, Xbox One, and xCloud. When Ubisoft Plus moves to Game Pass Ultimate, it will continue to increase its popularity and add value to its subscription. Game Pass Ultimate subscription costs $14.99 per month, or about $180 per year.
Ubisoft Plus is currently available for PC and offers over 100 games with its subscription. Ubisoft also plans to bring this service to consoles starting with Xbox. It’s possible that Ubisoft Plus will be offered as part of a Game Pass Ultimate subscription, but we’ll have to wait and see.
The current Ubisoft Plus pricing model costs €14.99 per month and is not limited to games but also includes the Season Pass and DLC for all Ubisoft games available on this service. Premium editions of these games will also be available to all subscribers at launch.
