In September of last year, Ubisoft presented the future of the Assassin’s Creed series. In addition to the Mirage installment due out this year, three more games with working titles have been announced Jade, Red a Hexe. Unofficially, there has also been talk of a VR work with the subtitle Nexus for some time.
The already ambitious range of upcoming titles is apparently even more numerous in reality. It claims through of Insider Gaming magazine Tom Henderson. According to the sources of a well-known insider, Ubisoft should have more than the already announced titles in development the next three titles in the Assassin’s Creed series.
The first of these is the code-name game Project Nebula, which is being developed in the Ubisoft Sofia studio. This Bulgarian team has previously brought Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation and Assassin’s Creed Rogue. Project Nebula is supposed to gradually take us to three different environments in the form of India, the Aztec Empire and the Mediterranean.
Second proclaimed title is subtitled Raid and is being worked on by the Ubisoft Chengdu studio. It should be a free-to-play cooperative effort for 4 players that will build on PvE mechanics. Henderson mentions that we could play as various familiar characters from past installments in this title.
The third game with working title Echoes is created in the Ubisoft Annecy studio. This French team was involved in the multiplayer modes and online features of the older installments of the series. But he also helped with the development of The Division 2. It is therefore no surprise that Project Echoes is referred to as a purely multiplayer title, which is to use Ubisoft’s Scalar cloud technology.
All three games mentioned above are available located in the prototype or concept stage. So their development is just at the beginning. In the article, Henderson also mentions the mentioned VR title with the subtitle Nexus. According to his sources, it should be revealed already this year during E3, and there is already internal talk about its continuation.
