Ubisoft Faces Class Action Lawsuit for Allegedly Sharing User Data with Meta: What You Need to Know

The problems are waiting for the French.

Ubisoft accused to collect and share user data with Facebook’s parent company Meta.

Two people are behind a class action (they represent others in the same situation) against Ubisoft, writes GI. It is believed that Ubisoft allowed the analytics tool Pixel (run by Facebook owner Meta) to collect personal data from customers, and that this data is then shared with Meta. It should be enough for a visitor to log in to Facebook and visit the Ubisoft store or play through Ubisoft Plus. The customer does not know about this, it is said.

According to the indictment, Ubisoft used the device illegally to collect and share personal data. They are also accused of using the Pixel without telling customers about it, which is also not allowed.

It is not known at this time how Ubisoft will respond to the allegations. But they have a difficult time behind them, with one forward Assassins Creed Shadows, each other Star wars because– sale, sinking share price and takeover rumors.

It remains to be seen whether Ubisoft will succeed in pulling the ship out of the negative course.
