Ubisoft Delays Skull and Bones and Star Wars Outlaws, CEO Praises Successful Assassin’s Creed Mirage and The Crew Motorfest

Ubisoft continues to fail to follow through on its plans. I’d rather not even count how many delays he suffered the very problematic Skull and Bones pirate action. The French company reports a delay in one more big game. This was previously planned until the end of March 2024.

The publisher did not specify which title it was. It probably is action open-world adventure Star Wars Outlaws by Massive Entertainment. The creators of The Division are preparing Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora for this December.

Kotaku has previously learned from reliable sources that Ubisoft would like to release Star Wars Outlaws by 3/31/2024. This plan was already deemed too ambitious at the time and was highly likely to slip into the next fiscal year. This means a release by 3/31/2025. Officially, Ubisoft has only ever given the year 2024 for Star Wars Outlaws.

As for Ubisoft Singapore’s Skull and Bones, it is to be launched between January and March 2024. Three free-to-play projects are also to be launched by 3/31/2024: Rainbow Six Mobile, The Division Resurgence and XDefiant. Also coming are Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR, Just Dance 2024 Edition and Prince of Persia The Lost Crown.

Presenting the result, CEO Yves Guillemot spoke of above-average results in the second quarter and positive brand dynamics, which should inspire confidence for the rest of the fiscal year. Edition Assassin’s Creed Mirage a The Crew Motorfest marked as successful and both titles should have contributed to results above expectations.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage had a solid start, with first-week player numbers matching the first-week success of Assassin’s Creed Origins and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. The Crew Motorfest was expected to be well received by players with a record number of units sold, the Season Pass was also expected to be well received.

Guillemot also praised the remarkable performances of older titles, particularly Rainbow Six Siege, the entire Assassin’s Creed series, and The Crew 2.
