Ubisoft Connect for PC: A Game Client to Compete with Steam and GOG

Ubisoft is not giving up on its quest to create a game client that can stand up to Steam and GOG, and brings an improved version. New Ubisoft Connect for PC is a response to the feedback the Assassin’s Creed publisher has received in recent years.

The massive update is starting beta testing and is expected to roll out to more users this summer. The company has prepared a new interface focused on accessibility and clarity. The goal was to create a client in which players can immediately find what they are looking for. Be it games or players.

The improvement also concerns the library with a more detailed description of the games, the ability to quickly find out which games need an update, and an overview of the progress of the game. New social features include redesigned player profiles with more room for identity customization, player-to-player interaction, and a way to see what others are playing. Speaking of the library, the Ubisoft+ subscription is integrated into it.

You can see individual changes/improvements in the video. We remind you that according to the information on the official website, the PC version of the games Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora a Star Wars Outlaws will only sell on Ubisoft Connect while Assassin’s Creed Mirage a The Crew Motorfest they should still be on the Epic Games Store. All new titles will probably arrive on Steam later. With a gradual return to the Valve platform, Ubisoft started last December with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Anno 1800. Later, it added The Division 2, Watch Dogs: Legion, Trackmania, Riders Republik or Far Cry 6.
