Ubisoft attracts potential buyers; it is believed that it will be sold

There has been a lot of talk lately about acquisitions of video game studios, since among the most recent we have Microsoft’s agreement to acquire Activision Blizzard and Sony’s purchase of Bungie. It seems that Ubisoft would be one of the next big video game companies to be acquired, because is attracting buyers potentials.

This Friday Bloomberg reported that Ubisoft was attracting potential buyers such as Blackstone Inc. and KKK & Co., who have been studying the French company’s business with the intention of acquiring it. However, Ubisoft has not entered into serious discussions with any company so far.

Although Ubisoft has apparently not entered into negotiations with any company, my box says he has spoken with developers and ex-developers of the company during the last months, and these believe that Ubisoft will be sold eventually. According to Kotaku’s sources, Ubisoft has been working with consulting firms to audit various aspects of their business, reportedly in preparation for a possible sale.
