Ubisoft Announces Partnership with Microsoft: Activision Blizzard Games Coming to Ubisoft+

Ubisoft came today notification, which shocked more than one player. It has signed a contract with Microsoft to give Ubisoft the rights to stream Call of Duty and other products from the Activision Blizzard stable. Yes, you read that right. Games from the famous company will be expanded not only by the cloud but also by Ubisoft+. But not right away. The condition is supposed to be the realization of the acquisition of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft.

Not only current works should go to Ubisoft+. The contract covers projects for the next fifteen years after the acquisition. In the future, the subscription will therefore allow players within the Ubisoft+ Multi Access service to play games from both Ubisoft and Activision Blizzard across platforms.

Commenting on the move, Ubisoft said: “Over the past 15 years, we’ve built and refined our online services and distribution ecosystem, which is among the most comprehensive in the industry. Today’s deal gives players even more opportunities to access and enjoy some of gaming’s biggest brands.” How and when titles will be added will be revealed in the coming weeks and months. However, this is a major step and certainly not something that most of the world anticipated.
