The real estate developer “Galio Group” together with the cooperation partners – the construction company “Merks”, the commercial service center “SEB Global Services” and the architecture firm “Vilnis Mičulis” celebrated the dragonfly festival for the future center Gustavs trading post in the VEF territory, Riga.
Construction of the business center is expected to be completed as early as spring 2023.
The new business center is the first building of the “Gustava business center” project, which will consist of three sustainable buildings.
The business center project involves the construction of a six-storey office building with two levels of underground parking, an atrium with a wooden skylight structure, roof terraces, conference rooms, a restaurant area, columns for charging electric cars, showers and changing rooms.
The building has been designed and is under construction according to the highest requirements of the BREEAM New Construction Excellent certificate regarding sustainability and will house the employees of the SEB Group service center. SEB Global Services is expected to rent approximately 11,000 square meters of space to provide space for more than 1,000 employees.

“We have reached the highest point of the” Gustavs “shopping center and we can see the entire extension of the building. We are currently actively working on the construction of the glazed skylight and are expected to complete the glazing work on the facade by the end of October. which will make it possible to completely close the frame of the building “, says Andris Bišmeistars, member of the board of directors of SIA” Merks “and construction manager. Environmentally friendly materials are used in the construction of the building, and special attention is paid to energy-efficient solutions, such as installing solar panels on the roof of the business center.
The architects and authors of the Gustav Business Center projects are SIA “Vilnis Mičulis”. Construction supervision is provided by SIA “Būvuzraugi LV”.
The name was chosen in honor of the second president of Latvia (1927–1930) Gustav Zemgalas. This summer, Latvia celebrated the 150th anniversary of the second president of Latvia.
With a construction company Merk the value of the construction contract concluded is approximately 22 million euros (plus VAT).
“Galio Group” is a company founded in Lithuania that deals with sustainable real estate development. The company owns several plots of land in Riga – on Brīvības Street, Daugavgrīvas Street and Gustava Zemgal Street.
