This Saturday the new Transportation Law was published in the Official Newspaper of the State of Chihuahua in Mexico.

From now on, the transport companies Uber, Cabify and Didi -which are the ones that operate in the state- must comply with this regulation.

Such regulation includes the payment of taxes and control of drivers and vehicles.

In order to operate, an authorization will be necessary, which will be valid for 5 years, renewable.

In addition, they must contribute between 1.5 and 2 percent of the amount charged for each trip, the funds of which will go to the Mobility Fund.

The requirements for drivers include mandatory registration by presenting the valid driving license, the information of the platform for which they work and a document from the company stating their registration.

Regarding vehicles, they must register with a card that they will obtain from the Transport Authority, a transport insurance policy, be up to date with taxes and have passed the technical inspection.

Transport companies must submit an application accompanied by the incorporation of the company with a clause for the admission of foreigners, whose corporate purpose includes, among others, the provision of technological services and transportation activity.

Likewise, they must accredit a legal representative with proof of address in the entity and federal taxpayer registry.

To protect the safety of its users, they must provide information on the driver’s name, photograph, license plate number of the vehicle in which the service will be provided, make and model, estimated trip rate, accumulated rating, real-time trip route and price. service estimate.
