Philosophy and heritage will go hand in hand next September in Úbeda since the city of Jaén will be headquarters of the XIII Congress of the Andalusian Philosophy Association, which will be titled ‘Living Spanish Philosophy’ and will be held at the Santiago Hospital, thanks to the role of the UNED and its associated center ‘Andres de Vandelvira’ in the province of Jaén.
It will be an appointment for make visible some of the most outstanding manifestations of contemporary Spanish thought, contextualizing it in turn in a global scenario, which will also serve to examine the current situation of philosophy practiced in Spain, opening new fields for future philosophical reflection.
For this they will participate and give their particular vision prestigious speakers from Andalusia, Catalonia, the Basque Country, Madrid and even Argentina, who will be protagonists of the conferences, round tables or debates that have been organized and that will focus the programming throughout the weekend.
The appointment will run from September 10 to 12 and it is organized by the Andalusian Philosophy Association itself, although the Úbeda City Council, the Caja Rural de Jaén, the UJA and the Huerta de San Antonio Foundation also collaborate.
