Until next March 17, Úbeda celebrates the IV edition of the Religious Music Festival and Brotherhood ‘Ars Sacrum’. The contest has a solidarity aspect, since the proceeds from each concert will go to the associations and charities Cáritas, the ’21 de Septiembre’ Association or the Charity Vocal Office of the Union of Brotherhoods. Tickets for the concerts can be purchased at the headquarters of the Union of Brotherhoods from Monday to Friday from 6 to 8 in the afternoon – and will cost three euros each.
Closing concert
With several performances already held during the month of February, the next events with sacred music in Úbeda will arrive on Sunday, March 17, closing the festival with a flourish will be provided by the Philharmonic Society of Our Lady of Grace, at 7:30 p.m. at Sacred Chapel of ‘The Savior of the World’, as a nod to the tenth anniversary of the formation of this society. At the event, unprecedented performances dedicated to the brotherhoods with which it maintains a close connection will be heard, and the public will attend the premiere of a processional march.
Ubetense Philharmonic
Directed by the young Ubetense composer Cristóbal López Gándara, the Philharmonic ‘Our Lady of Grace’ Not only is it just another palio band, but its project includes taking care of recruiting and training new members, mainly, brothers who want and have musical interests and who wish to be part of this human group.
