Terence Wilson, best known as Astro, in the group UB40 is dead, 64 years old. He helped start the band that had hits like “Red Red Wine” and “Rat in me kitchen” in the 80’s.

– We are completely shocked and crushed when we have to tell you that our dear Astro passed away today after a short illness, writes his latest band called UB40 featuring Ali Campbell and Astro on Twitter according to AFP.

– The world will not be the same without him.

The band had according to officialcharts.com three number one hits in the UK and as many as 17 singles in the top 10, and was one of the country’s most successful bands a few years in the 80’s.

Astro, and singer Ali Campbell left the band in 2013 and thus continue together under a different band name.

Saxophone player and songwriter Brian Travers died at the age of 62 in August this year.
