The UAE’s special winter aid for Gaza’s victims has arrived at the Rafah border. Ten trucks crossed the border with 16 lakh items including winter clothes and blankets. The UAE has also begun moves to secure more aid for Gaza.
The UAE’s aid comes as the winters in Gaza intensify and temperatures drop as low as 8 degrees Celsius. Emirates Red Crescent, which is overseeing the distribution, said that these will be delivered to those staying in different areas in a phased manner.
‘Be There Warmth?’ The aid items collected through the campaign titled, are delivered to the children and families of Gaza. Clothing, heating equipment, medical items, food items and firewood can also be donated as part of the campaign. The Red Crescent has facilities to collect relief supplies at 175 locations in the country.
The UAE has been providing various aid to the people of Gaza since the beginning of the war. The UAE has put in place various systems to provide medical care, food and drinking water.
The UAE has opened a warehouse in Al Arish to deliver aid to Gaza. Various relief materials to be delivered to the common people who are suffering during the war are stored here. It will be delivered from here to Gaza as needed.
