Dubai, September 29 / WAM / The Sudanese padel team appreciated the UAE’s support for its participation in the first edition of the Arab Padel Championship, which is hosted by the UAE with the participation of 11 Arab countries during the period from September 27 to October 1, at the Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex in Dubai.
Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Padel Federation and Honorary President of the Arab Padel Federation, directed that Spanish coach Alex be appointed to be with the Sudanese national team during the championship competitions, among other initiatives to ensure the creation of the best conditions and support Sudanese participation in this largest Arab gathering. Ali Ahmed, captain of the Sudanese national team, stressed that this tournament constitutes more than just a profit-and-loss calculation for his country’s national team, as much as it is an opportunity to confirm Sudan’s participation in it and express that the ambitions of its children will remain present.
He said, “We thank the leadership and people of the UAE for their support for our participation and presence in this Arab Championship. We were keen to give our utmost energy to appear honorably in these competitions, and for this presence to constitute a gateway for us to continue developing our levels and raise the ceiling of our ambitions in the upcoming events.”
