CountryAn uproar arose over the past days, after activists circulated on social media, a picture showing what was said to be the UAE pushing a Yemeni military battalion to participate in the current fighting in Sudan.

The activists, who circulated the image extensively, said: “With Emirati directives, a Yemeni battalion is heading to Sudan!! Abu Dhabi The involvement of a Yemeni military faction called the “Guardians of the Republic” led by “Tariq Saleh” in the Sudan war.

The tweet circulating in this regard added: “An Emirati cargo ship transported a Yemeni military battalion with all its military equipment, to support the Rapid Support Forces led by Hamidati.”

photo reality

The photo promoted by Yemeni activists was not accurate, as it was found that it was published on May 13, 2021, and documents field visits organized by the National Resistance Operations Command, to the “Republican Guard Brigades” along the western coast, and that was during Eid al-Adha at the time.

UAE involvement in the Sudan war

The inaccuracy of the image, as the verification trip showed, does not negate the involvement of the UAE in the current conflict in Sudan between the army forces and the Rapid Support Forces, a conflict that is about to end in a month, and left an alarming toll of deaths and injuries, as well as large waves of displacement.

In the past few days, new evidence has been revealed documenting UAE support for the Rapid Support Forces in the ongoing fight against the Sudanese army forces.

And the Sudanese thinker, Taj Al-Sir Othman, published through his account on TwitterA video clip of the Sudanese army showing the preparation of rapid support vehicles, and saying: “It all comes from the UAE.”

Taj Al-Sir commented, “There is a wide awareness among the army of the UAE’s subversive role in destabilizing stability.. Yes, the UAE was able to write the beginning of the chapter of chaos and rebellion in the Arab countries, but it is not able to write the final chapter.”

The same Sudanese source also exposed the scene that the UAE was proud of when it announced that it had sent a plane carrying urgent food supplies to Abeche Airport on the Sudanese-Chadian border to provide urgent support to Sudanese refugees.

Taj al-Sir Othman wrote: “It is true that it has reached the area of control of the rebel Rapid Support militia at the borders of El Geneina.

A dangerous audio recording that exposes the role of the Emirates

Also, earlier, the former Sudanese intelligence chief, Salah al-Din Gosh, accused the UAE of being behind what is happening in Sudan. This was in an audio recording attributed to him, lasting about 20 minutes, and published on social networks.

Gosh said that the UAE is doing this by setting up a “kitchen for Sudanese politics in Abu Dhabi, carrying out a process of change targeting the army, and replacing it with the Rapid Support Forces led by Hemedti.”

In the alleged audio recording, whose authenticity could not be verified, the first process of “change in Sudan” began with a Masonic conspiracy, from within the regime, and from Bairian countries in the Gulf that sponsored change, and foreign countries, who sought the help of some wanderers in Europe, and they claim that they are Activists, but political merchants.”

He added: “After announcing a program for change, and the matter became difficult for them, the battle moved to planning through the defects of the advocates of freedom and change, the left, and the preachers, but they reached a point where they did not achieve their ambition, so they moved to the stage of change by force, and developed a program and promoted it in the media, and tried to exploit rebellious movements”.

And the Emirates Center for Studies and Media “Emasc” had highlighted that it is known to everyone the special relationship that Hamidati has with the UAE, and the support he receives from it, through Tahnoun bin Zayed, the Emirati National Security Adviser.

gold password

And the password in that relationship is gold, as a report published by Global Witness – a human rights organization working in the field of combating corruption – in 2019 revealed that the Rapid Support Forces, controlled by Hemedti, control the Jabal Amer mine, in addition to three other mines in separate parts. of the country, and this made Hemeti and his forces a major player in the gold mining industry. It represents a large part of Sudan’s exports.
