UAE Youth Muaythai Championship 2023-2024: The Largest Tournament to Kick Off the Season

The day after tomorrow, Friday, the UAE Youth Muaythai Championship will start at the opening of the agenda for the season of competitions and tournaments organized by the UAE Muaythai and Kickboxing Federation 2023-2024. The tournament will be held in the sports tent (Dom 321 Sports) on Al Hudayriat Island in Abu Dhabi until the 10th of this month, with the participation of the largest of its kind in terms of local tournaments, as the number of participants in the various categories reached 513 players representing 49 clubs.

The championship program includes the beginning of weighing and medical examinations for the participants today at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Abu Dhabi, the Intercontinental Festival City Hotel in Dubai and the Hilton Garden Inn Ras Al Khaimah, and then the start of the championship competitions from the eighth to the 10th of this month. The participants were divided into six age groups (8-9 years), (10-11 years), (12-13 years), (14-15 years), (16-17 years) (17-23 years).

Tariq Al Muhairi, Executive Director of the Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation, said in a press statement: “The large participation is a new indication of the status of the game among generations in society and the extent of their keenness and passion for practicing Muay Thai and their great ambitions to provide the best levels and fights, which reflects positively on the development of clubs and national teams and contributes to providing them with talented people.” And the distinguished ones, which supports the manufacture of more heroic players and multiplies the great achievements and contributions of Muay Thai in UAE sport.

• The tournament is held in 6 age groups between 8 to 23 years.
