Abu Dhabi: The UAE is changing the country’s identity card, the Emirates ID. As part of streamlining the application process, 7 new changes are being made by Identity Citizenship, Customs & Port Security Authority. The new application has been prepared in accordance with the ‘visual identity’ of the authority.
Space is provided at the top left side of the application for affixing the photograph of the applicants. Also, a system has been introduced to track the application by scanning the QR code on the top right side of the application. An explanation of how to apply is also included in the form. The name of the card delivering company is added along with the address at the bottom of the form.
Meanwhile, the form has also added a QR code to access the customer voice gateway for registering complaints with the ICP and more. Apart from this, the application also has another QR code which allows the applicant to modify the fingerprint date.
