UAE rulers have ordered the release of several prisoners

UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered the release of 1,530 detained prisoners to coincide with the 51st National Day of the UAE. He also ordered to pay off the debts of the released prisoners. The Ministry of Human Resources and Indigenization has announced that the country’s private institutions will be closed from Thursday 1 December to Saturday 3 December. A three-day holiday for the public sector in the country has already been announced.

The decision is to give released prisoners the chance to start a new life, rethink their future, serve their families and contribute to society. Meanwhile, UAE Supreme Council member and Sharjah ruler Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi has ordered the release of 333 prisoners in the emirate. 1040 prisoners will be released in Dubai. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, ruler of Dubai, has also ordered in this regard.
