“UAE Olympic Team placed in Group G for AFC U-23 Championship Qualifiers”

The draw for the qualifiers for the AFC U-23 Championship, which was drawn today in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, placed the UAE Olympic team in Group G, along with the teams of India, the Maldives and China. The qualifiers will be held from the 4th to the 12th of next September, with the participation of 43 teams, which were divided into 11 groups, so that 10 groups include four teams, while in the last group there are three teams, and the matches of each group will be played from one round in the assembly system in one city.

According to the tournament system, the first-place finishers in the 11 groups will qualify for the Asian finals, in addition to the four best runners-up, joined by Qatar, the organizing country, to participate in the finals that will be held in Doha from April 15 to May 3, 2024.

The Emirates Olympic team came in the first classification, along with the teams of Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, Japan, Australia, Iraq, Turkmenistan, Vietnam, South Korea, Thailand and Jordan, where the teams were arranged according to the classification of each team in the AFC U-23 Cup, which was held in Uzbekistan in The year 2022, while the teams that did not participate were added as the lowest ranked.
