Abu Dhabi, 2 November / WAM / The Ministry of Education signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance joint work and exchange experiences in the educational field with its counterpart in the Republic of India, on the sidelines of the visit of His Excellency Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Education, Skills Development and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of India, and the accompanying delegation to the UAE.
The memorandum of understanding was signed by His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Abdullah Humaid Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Education, and His Excellency Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Education, Skills Development and Entrepreneurship, in the presence of a number of officials from both countries.
His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Belhoul Al Falasi pointed out that the UAE and the Republic of India share deep historical ties, the prosperity of which is supported by long-term joint cooperation between the two countries in various priority fields, including the educational field.
His Excellency said: “We emphasize the importance of this cooperation with the Republic of India, which in turn will contribute to enhancing the efficiency, development and prosperity of the educational system in a way that meets the ambitions and aspirations of the two countries. We in the Ministry of Education are keen to continue building bridges of cooperation with various educational institutions and bodies at the regional and international levels to develop the educational system and raise The quality of education outcomes and the transfer of expertise and experiences from all countries of the world to advance the capabilities and competencies of teachers and students and raise them to levels that qualify our children to lead the future and face its various challenges.”
The memorandum of understanding seeks to strengthen the existing relationship between the two sides by integrating means of cooperation in the field of educational institutions through the exchange of students and faculty members, implementing joint research programs, designing courses, holding conferences, seminars, scientific and educational exhibitions, and giving special lectures on areas of common interest in both countries. .
The memorandum of understanding aims to enhance cooperation in the field of exchanging visits, information and expertise in the fields of public and higher education, to include the regulations and legal structures that regulate these two fields, and the exchange of best practices, assessment and classification frameworks, information that improves national qualifications, and the latest developments and trends related to modern technologies, as well as the exchange of frameworks and policies. In the areas of developing the skills of gifted and talented people.
It also stipulates the exchange of information regarding a comprehensive standard for the curriculum framework and qualifications issued by educational institutions in both countries to facilitate mutual recognition of these qualifications, and ways to facilitate academic cooperation between higher education institutions in both countries to provide twinning, joint degrees, and dual degrees programs, in addition to developing the capabilities of members. Faculty in technical and vocational education and training (TVET), and any other areas agreed upon between the two parties.
