UAE launches program to support emerging companies in the field of franchising

The Ministry of Economy has launched the ScaleUp Franchise program in partnership with Emtiyz, a company specialized in franchising, which is part of the initiatives of the second phase of the Home of Entrepreneurship.
The ministry said in a statement: This step is part of strengthening the state’s efforts to accelerate the business growth of start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises, support its expansion plans and increase its investments in local markets. and global.

Abdullah Ahmed Al Saleh, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy, said the ministry continues to provide support to the business environment and emerging projects in the country, and to develop its partnership with the government and the private sector, under the Entrepreneurship Home Project, in a way that enhances the skills of entrepreneurs and small to medium sized project owners, improving their access to opportunities and expanding their business.
He added: “The ScaleUp Franchise program aims to develop the internal operating systems of the country’s small and medium-sized enterprises in the field of franchising, support their capabilities and equip them with skills and knowledge so that they are ready to benefit from the global franchise systems, to support their plans to expand and invest in local, regional and global markets.”
He emphasized that the program also contributes to providing companies with all legal, operational and financial services related to global franchise systems, obtaining legal advice and specialized training courses, as well as providing marketing support for corporate brands for a period of up to 10 years, which helps them to attract investors and launch new subsidiaries locally and globally.
The Ministry of Economy stated that the program will be implemented in two phases, as the first phase lasts 8 weeks and includes 25 small and medium-sized enterprises, and the second phase lasts 6 months and aims to ensure the full readiness of the commercial franchise market for companies participating in the program.
ScaleUp Franchise falls under one of the paths of the “Platform to Support Rapidly Growing Companies” program, which falls under one of the three main axes of the “Home of Entrepreneurship”.
