Dubai: UAE golden visa for MLA and actor KB Ganesh Kumar. The actor said that he is handing over his golden visa to overseas Malayalees. He said that he sees this as recognition given to him by the UAE government as an artist and a public servant.
All expatriate Malayalis feel that they have been accepted by this. I am thankful to the authorities here for giving me a 10-year visa as I have a UAE resident visa earlier. It is seen as the wisdom of the government here to give golden visas to businessmen and artists who show talent in various fields. This is a very practical and modern move to attract more businessmen to invest in the country and thereby achieve more growth for the country”. Ganesh Kumar said.
Earlier, Ganesh Kumar got his visa through ECH Digital, where many filmmakers, including Malayalam, had done the paperwork for the golden visa. He received the Visa-embedded Emirates ID from CEO Iqbal Marconi along with his wife Bindu at a function held at ECH Digital’s office. Golden visas are granted by the UAE government to investors and businessmen who have demonstrated excellence in various fields.
These visas are valid for 10 years and can be renewed upon expiry. A relaxation in the golden visa criteria was later announced. The UAE aims to extend the benefits of the Golden Visa to more categories.
