Muhammad Shaker – Mubasher: The UAE financial market indices declined at the end of today’s trading session, Thursday, amid expectations that interest rates will start to be cut by the third quarter of 2023.
According to the data of the UAE financial markets, the Dubai Financial Market incurred losses amounting to 333 million dirhams, and the losses of the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange amounted to 13 billion dirhams, with a total loss of 13.333 billion dirhams.
With the closing of transactions, the Dubai and Abu Dhabi stock exchanges attracted 1.319 billion dirhams of liquidity, distributed over 18,325 deals.
Dubai Financial Market
The Dubai Financial Market index fell by 0.28 percent, to the level of 3555 points.
And there were transactions on Dubai shares with a volume of 222.668 million shares, at a value of 375.023 million dirhams.
This came amid a decline in the shares of Commercial Bank of Dubai by 3.26 percent, Deyaar Development by 0.43 percent, Dubai Financial Market by 1.37 percent, and Dubai Investments by 0.45 percent.
The market value of Dubai shares amounted to 621.314 billion dirhams at the end of today’s trading, compared to 621.647 billion dirhams at the end of Wednesday’s trading, with losses amounting to 333 million dirhams.
Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange
The Abu Dhabi Securities Market index fell by 0.18 percent, to the level of 9508 points.
And there were transactions on Abu Dhabi shares with a volume of 163.953 million shares, at a value of 944.104 million dirhams.
This came amid a decline in Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank shares by 0.24 percent, ADNOC Gas by 1.56 percent, Agthia Group by 0.21 percent, and Al-Dar Properties by 1.86 percent.
The market value of Abu Dhabi shares amounted to 2.621 trillion dirhams at the close of trading today, compared to 2.634 trillion dirhams at the close of trading on Wednesday, with losses amounting to 13 billion dirhams.
