The National Paralympic Committee announced the participation of 41 male and female athletes in the competitions of the fourth edition of the Asian Paralympic Games, which will be hosted by the Chinese city of Hangzhou during the period from October 22 to 28, with the participation of 43 countries.
The UAE delegation is divided between 28 male and 13 female players competing in eight sports out of a total of 22 games (24 disciplines) included in the tournament’s competitions, with a total of 438 competitions in all sports. The sports in which the UAE will participate are: athletics, powerlifting, bow and arrow, cycling, archery, judo, boccia and badminton. For his part, the Secretary-General of the National Paralympic Committee, Theban Al Muhairi, was reassured about the progress of training during the internal camp currently held for the delegation of our national team to put the final touches for the UAE riders.
