UAE Athletics Federation and Italian Counterpart Discuss International Cooperation and Development

Dubai, October 16 / WAM / His Excellency Major General Dr. Mohammed Al Murr, President of the UAE Athletics Federation, reviewed with his Italian counterpart, Stefano Mai, the development of international cooperation mechanisms and the exchange of expertise and experiences on the best means to develop the game system, technically and administratively.
During the meeting held in Dubai, Al-Murr stressed the importance of being open to global experiences, and benefiting from the development achieved by Italy in the field of athletics, in line with future trends, to create champions who have the ability to compete globally.
He explained: “We are keen to keep up with all the requirements that lead us to a better reality in athletics, and to exchange views on the means that enable us to implement plans and strategies that support our teams.”
Al-Murr thanked the President of the Italian Federation for welcoming cooperation, paving the way for serving common goals, and implementing sustainable development programmes, plans and initiatives in all fields.
Stefano Mai praised the efforts of the UAE Athletics Federation in working to develop programs that achieve the best levels of competitiveness in this sport, and he also stressed the possibility of cooperation in various fields.
He said: “It was a good visit. I spoke for a long time with His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, and with a number of officials in the Emirates, focusing on the potential for development and cooperation between our experiences, and I hope that we will have the opportunity to cooperate.”
