The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Portugal, João Cravinho, stressed the need to strengthen the urgent humanitarian response to the needs of the people of Gaza in a way that contributes to alleviating their suffering and providing protection for all civilians.
The Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported that Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed – during a phone call – with Cravinho developments in the Middle East region and the repercussions of the current crisis, especially on the humanitarian level.
The Emirati Minister stressed the importance of strengthening regional and international efforts to calm the situation and end extremism, tension and escalating violence in the region. The two sides also discussed bilateral relations and paths of joint cooperation in all fields, including economic, trade and development.
Al Nahyan stressed the UAE’s keenness to strengthen bridges of fruitful and constructive cooperation with the Republic of Portugal in various fields, in a way that achieves the mutual interests of the two countries and supports their development aspirations and vision for achieving sustainable economic prosperity.
