UACh Nursing Students Promote Young Adult Vaccination on Instagram and TikTok

The campaign started this week through the profile @contagiaconciencia, where they seek to encourage vaccination against influenza and COVID-19, in people between 20 and 25 years old

As a way to contribute to the current immunization process, 4th year students of the Community Nursing module of the Faculty of Medicine of the Austral University of Chile, have produced a series of explanatory videos and infographics that seek to disprove erroneous information about vaccines , in addition to encouraging young people to inoculate, to increase the vaccination rate in the current campaign against Influenza and COVID-19 in our region and the country.

“This student initiative is the result of the motivation of a group that makes the application of its theoretical knowledge available to the community during the training process in the field of community nursing,” said Romané Veliz, teacher guide of the project.

In addition, the didactic material contains information for the reinforcement of self-care and the sanitary measures to follow to avoid infections, focused especially on young people between 20 and 25 years old. The campaign provides tools to citizens to make them participate and responsible for their own health and that of their environment, in order to benefit the population as a whole.

For this reason, the call is to follow the Instagram and TikTok accounts @contagiaconciencia, get informed and educate yourself, in addition to sharing the content with the hashtag #contagiaconciencia.
