Sweden fell heavily in the semifinals against championship ghost Hungary. A disappointed blue-yellow has now recharged ahead of this afternoon’s bronze fight against the Netherlands.

– We will do everything we can to bring the bronze money home to Sweden, says Jesper Östlund, national team captain, to The national handball team.

The Swedish U20 national team has made a fantastic championship so far, and has offered entertaining and attacking handball. Blågult has scored 231 goals in seven matches, which means that they have averaged 33 goals per match. The championship’s two losses came in the main round against the Netherlands (22-23) and in the semifinals against Hungary (25-33).

Today, the Swedish girls have a chance to take revenge on the Netherlands. The bronze match between Sweden and the Netherlands is played at 15:00 in Celje, and Östlund is not worried that blue and yellow will not have had time to recharge.

– I’m not worried about that. There will be a full-scale war on Sunday (today), he says The national handball team.

For the girls in the team, today’s match will be the last in the youth national team.

– It will be emotional. Many of us have been on this journey. Socially, it will be sad with a finish, but sportingly I look forward to it, says Kajsa Lindberg Blohm and continues:

– When we play our game, we can take the Netherlands. Since this is the last match we will play together, there will be lots of fighting spirit.

Return in the bronze match takes place at 15:00 and the match is shown in Viaplay.

The final is played between Norway and Hungary, and starts at 17:30.
