In the last game in group B, the Slovakian under-20 hockey representatives lost to Switzerland 3:4 after raids and missed the chance to win the group.

Ivan Feneš, SR coach: “Once again it was a very high level match, we didn’t succeed. We probably made more mistakes in the whole tournament, we had to make it through, the opponent took advantage of it. Some guys had their heads too offensive, but they played four difficult games in five days, I have to defend them. Every single mistake here is decisive. We wanted to win the group, unfortunately it didn’t work out. I have an idea of who we are, we’ll probably get there, but we’ll wait.”

Adam Žlnka, SR forward: “It was a tough match like any other in this tournament. We have to stick to what we say in the booth, we can’t be so outnumbered. We were too hungry to attack.”

Adam Sýkora, scorer of SR’s first goal: “It was excellent hockey, it was played up and down, which we didn’t really want. We won 3:1, but we didn’t fulfill what we said. My goal was typical for me, I won the puck. When it was 3:1, we wanted to score even more goals, we have to play simpler.”
