The Czech Republic’s opponents in the Junior World Cup finals will be hockey players from Canada. The defending champions defeated overseas rivals USA 6-2 in the second semifinal in Halifax.

The Americans got into the overseas derby better, leading with a two-goal difference in the 11th minute. However, a contact goal came quickly from the opponent, who recovered to 4:2 with three precise hits in the second period and secured the triumph in the final part. Forward Joshua Roy scored four runs for Canada.
The great support of the “maple leaf” was Thomas Milic, who blocked 43 of 45 shots. Canada is fighting for a record 20th title of the Junior WC against the Czech Republic, with whom they lost 2:5 in the group basis.
