The concert is on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall
The Irish group U2 will perform a free concert in front of the Brandenburg Gate on November 5 on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, France Press reported.
The concert will take place during the annual MTV Europe Music Awards.
“It will be very exciting to be in this place almost exactly 20 years after the fall of the Wall,” manager Paul McGuinness wrote on the band’s website.
In 1990, shortly before the Wall came down, U2 were in Berlin, where they recorded their album Achtung Baby. The video for the song, One, was also shot in the German capital.
