The round of 16 of the DFB-Pokal der A-Juniors are coming this week. These are the opponents of Borussia Dortmund, VfL Bochum and Schalke 04.
In the first round of DFB cup the A-Junior has already been sifted, but with Borussia Dortmundto the Schalke 04 and the VfL Bochum As expected, three teams from the Ruhr area made it to the quarter-finals. These are the opponents of the district clubs.
St. Pauli comes to BVB
Last year’s finalists welcome FC St. Pauli on Saturday (11:00). As the leader of the Western season and reigning German champions, BVB are obviously the favorite. St. Pauli are fourth in the U19 Bundesliga north / northeast relay, losing 4-2 at Dynamo Dresden over the weekend. The Hamburgers are spectacular: after six games they have scored 17 goals, but have already conceded twelve. What they should play in their hands: BVB will have to play against FC Sevilla in the Youth League on Tuesday, while the Paulians can use the whole week to prepare for the match.
VfL Bochum at 1. FC Cologne
Bochum will open the second round of the cup on Thursday. The lot could have been cheaper for the VfL, because the district club has to go to 1. FC Köln. The league rivals are two points and one place above Bochum in second place and have by far the best offensive in the league (21 goals). The duel between the two teams in the regular season clearly went to the Domstadt team. They won 5-2 on the second day of play.
Schalke welcomes Hansa Rostock
With Rostock, the Royal Blues have a visiting team whose full focus should be on staying in the north / northeast relay. Because Hansa are still waiting for their first win after five games and are already five points behind the non-relegation positions as the penultimate table.
