U.S. to Provide Ukraine with Military Assistance Package Worth Billions

According to sources, the package includes drones, artillery shells and missiles for air defense systems, as well as HAWK air defense systems. It will also include missiles, satellite imagery and funding for ongoing maintenance and spare parts for a variety of vehicles, officials said.

Given the package, the U.S. has already provided Ukraine with almost $37 billion in military aid since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, according to U.S. officials.

Assistance will be provided under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI), which aims to meet Ukraine’s security needs in the long term.
