The U.S. Embassy in Kazakhstan urges American citizens in Kazakhstan to be vigilant and take increased personal security measures due to the situation in the Middle East. This was stated in a message from the American diplomatic mission.
“The U.S. Embassy in Astana urges U.S. citizens in Kazakhstan to remain vigilant and be aware of personal safety concerns as tensions rise in the Middle East,” the statement said.
It noted that “the current conflict may result in terrorists attempting to attack soft targets perceived to be linked to US, Western and Israeli interests, such as cultural institutions, places of worship and popular tourist attractions zones’.
On November 3, Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced that the republic would provide humanitarian aid to Palestine in the amount of USD 1 million, noting that “civilians in the Gaza Strip are becoming victims of the confrontation.” He also spoke in favor of resolving “all conflicts” exclusively through peace negotiations and diplomatic dialogue.
