‘Seoul ADEX 2023’, Korea’s largest aerospace and defense industry exhibition, will be held at Seongnam Seoul Airport from the 17th to the 22nd.

At press day on the 16th, a day before the opening, the U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor, considered the world’s most powerful fighter jet, conducted a demonstration flight over Seoul and was released to the public for the first time in four years.

The F-22 Raptor is the 5th generation stealth fighter of the U.S. Air Force. Because of its advanced stealth capabilities, it is virtually impossible to detect it with regular radar.

Therefore, the F-22 Raptor is considered a strategic weapon that can precisely strike North Korea’s leadership and major facilities in times of emergency.

The F-22 Raptor became a hot topic in a mock air battle conducted by the U.S. military in 2006, as it shot down a total of 144 aircraft, including F-15, 16 and FA-18 fighters, while not a single one was shot down.

Also, at the opening ceremony on the 17th, a US Air Force B-52 bomber capable of carrying nuclear missiles is scheduled to fly over Seoul Airport.

At this year’s ADEX, the Korean supersonic fighter KF-21 will also be unveiled to the public for the first time.

Organizers announced that 550 defense companies from 35 countries participated in this year’s ADEX, the largest number ever.
