U-19 national team may face the top of the Croatian U-19 League standings

Final opponent U-19 Indonesian national team in Croatia not yet confirmed. PSSI just indicated the potential opponent is the standings leader of the Croatian U-19 League.

Only five of the six scheduled trials for the U-19 national team with opponents have been confirmed at the advanced training camp in Croatia. The opponents consist of two clubs and two countries.

They are NK Dugopolje, North Macedonia (two trials), and Bosnia-Herzegovina (two trials) which are confirmed to be test opponents of the U-19 national team. Meanwhile, a club who is the last opponent has yet to provide certainty.

Recently, the identity of the club that will be the final trial opponent has been revealed. Acting Director (Plt) PSSI Secretary General Yunus Nusi revealed the federation’s intention to invite the U-19 Croatian League standings.

“The plan is that after facing Bosnia we will play against the Premier League leaders’ club Junior Croatia,” Yunus Nusi told reporters.

Citing Soccerway, the Croatian U-19 League is currently led by Hajduk Split, who finished first with 24 points. Underneath is Dinamo Zagreb, who is four points adrift of Hajduk Split.

There has been no answer yet from the top of the Croatian U-19 League standings to PSSI. So that their identity has not been disclosed by the federation.

“But this is still in the confirmation process. It’s not official yet. It’s still being explored. Later, when it’s official, we’ll let you know again,” said Yunus Nusi.

U-19 national team has already undergone two trials at the Advanced Training Center in Croatia. First against NK Dugopolje (won 3-0), then North Macedonia (won 4-1).

Nearest, Witan Sulaeman cs will face North Macedonia again, Wednesday (14/10/2020). Then Garuda Muda will face Bosnia-Herzegovina twice on 20 and 23 October.
