The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) through the Sports Industry sector is also trying to continue to develop Indonesian football. KADIN opens opportunities for young Indonesian footballers to experience the atmosphere of matches in Europe while honing their skills.
In collaboration with PSSI, KADIN in the field of Sports Industry after conducting the selection, sent two young Indonesian talents such as M. Iqbal Gwijangge and Eriko Sulastiano to train at Puskas Akademia, Hungary, for six months, starting from January to next July 2023.
Puskas Akademia is a football academy founded by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, which aims to restore the glory of Hungarian football in the past during the time of a player named Puskas (former Real Madrid player).
“We, KADIN in the Sports Industry sector, in collaboration with PSSI, have already made the selection and as a start, we will first send 2 players to Puskas Akademia, Hungary and will be developed later,” said KADIN Deputy Chairperson for Sports Industry, Irawadi Hanafi, in a press statement.
Not only making selections, Irawadi also said that the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry was preparing for the departure of the players. “KADIN in the sports industry is preparing for their departure. Hopefully in the future, these young players will be able to become reliable National Team players,” added Irawadi
“When the Hungarian PM came to Indonesia and met with President Joko Widodo, this was offered, then followed up by the Indonesian Ambassador in Hungary Dimas Wahab. Puskas Akademi, actually never accepted students from abroad, but this is the first time they have accepted ,” he concluded.
