“The base is asking for speed, transparency and a guarantee that we will not have a vacuum of power and any kind of legal and financial representation, when all the other parliamentary parties will stand in front of us with clear leadership” emphasized Theodora Tzakri during her speech to the Central Committee of SYRIZA.

Our meeting is being held in the shadow of unprecedented events for our party. We see deep divisions springing up at the base, in the Member Organizations, in the Prefectural Committees and reaching up to the KE and the PG. Everyone easily understands that what is in the majority at the base, is in the minority at the top and tubalin.
I want to be clear. The many are usually right and not the few, the freshers are usually right and not the seasoned, the selfless are usually right and not the professionals. Theoretically, however, the right can sometimes be with the few, the old, the experts. Obviously we were not and will not be a leading party, although a series of mistakes has created relevant misunderstandings. However, we are not a party without a head, as is sought by a destructive behavior that has preceded it towards any person who has the institutional status of head. This is always the case when basic human rights are violated. The evaluative judgments of the perpetrator are interjected. I did it, he says, but why was she like that, show me, I was convinced! So it is not a universal right to dignity since it is subject to the value judgment of the perpetrator. He will ultimately say if we are worthy of the right, the fact of being human is not enough for him. This obviously constitutes a cancellation of the core of the basic human right, which is the value of the human being.
It is done every time by invoking some higher reason. The nation, the religion, the working class, the public interest, hairs, prefaces in sin!

The road map that I want to bring to your attention is very specific and I ask that it be put to a vote.
At the core of my thinking is the recruitment I have from the base for the fastest possible resolution of the issue that has arisen regarding the position of the party president.

During the conference, the agenda can only include two topics:
A) The approval of the political decision text and
B) The presentation of the signatures of support for each candidacy, the speeches of the presidential candidates and their announcement.
In my opinion, a new meeting of the Central Committee is not required for the approval of the texts as this competence can be assigned to the Political Secretariat so that the delegates have more time to study the texts and we do not trouble the comrades with a third meeting at such times of the Central Committee in one month. Especially since there is no statutory dispute.
2) Holding the election of the president and Central Committee on Sunday, November 3 and, if a second round is necessary for the election of the president, that it be held on Saturday, November 9 (as the Athens Marathon is held on November 10), so that it can be finally resolved by the members the question of our collective leadership.

Since there is no statutory dispute, there is no valid justification for any extension of the dates.

Because it actually opens the chapter of a wider pre-conference dialogue and puts in jeopardy not only the timetable that I just submitted to you, but also the timetable of the announced presidential candidate Pavlos Polakis as he formulated it and finally the timetable of the Political Secretariat itself, the which does not include in its proposal the inclusion of a Statutory Conference in the road map.
The common denominator of all three comprehensive proposals for the road map is the provision of avoiding a cursory approach to such a serious matter as the statute; because, to tell the truth between us, we have a safe statistical sample that when statutory discussions are involved in a conference process, these are impossible to fit into tight schedules. And even if they fit, they will not bring about the desired and necessary quality result for our party.
The reason I ask for my proposal to be put to a vote is because the body elected by the members must prove with its vote that it respects the request of the members.
Comrades and comrades
This Central Committee will go down in history for its actions and not for its intentions.
And the acts attributed to her today are summarized in the following one:
Correct and short schedule of conference and election of President and Central Committee.
I recognize that during the previous meeting of the Central Committee we all experienced conditions of unprecedented tension.
