The 44-year-old actor and father of two was spotted at LAX just a day after the court’s ruling to share his intention to contest the decision, stating that he plans to shed light on the bias against fathers in the family law court system. Despite the judge’s ruling, Tyrese emphasized that he will never stop providing for his daughters, but it is unacceptable to be labeled a deadbeat father when fathers are hustling and grinding to support their families, which often requires them to be physically away from their children. Tyrese’s determination to turn the situation around is not solely for himself but also for fathers who cannot afford proper representation or a voice to advocate for them. He believes that this experience may be a means for him to affect change in the system. In response to the ruling, he has also taken to social media to criticize the court for its bias and called for a peaceful protest, but it did not happen. The trial judge threatened to hold him in contempt of court, although he was allowed to remain free ultimately. The court ordered Tyrese to pay Samantha for Soraya’s back child support, attorney fees, and special master expenses.
