As if the injury-plagued Miami Dolphins didn’t already have enough proverbial fires to put out in the week leading up to Sunday’s AFC East Division showdown against the Buffalo Bills, the team’s biggest star also had to leave practice early on Wednesday after learned that his house had just caught fire.
Hill, an All-Pro receiver who had 1,717 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns in 15 games this season, left Wednesday’s practice an hour after the start of the first on-field session this week. Firefighters were spotted by several helicopter crews on the roof of the mansion, which Hill bought for $6.9 million in the summer of 2022 after being acquired from the Dolphins. Smoke was billowing from one side of the house.

Dolphins: Tyreek Hill’s family is doing well after fire
Hill, who signed a four-year, $120 million contract extension in 2022, arrived at his home at 3 p.m. He was wearing a walking boot on his left foot and was greeted by his wife, Keeta Vaccaro, and his mother, Anesha Sanchez, who both live at the home.
The footage showed heavy smoke coming from the house as firefighters extinguished the fire with water and ventilated the roof. The cause of the fire is still unclear, but the Dolphins say all members of Hill’s family are safe. Hill has been Miami’s primary weapon the past two seasons, but has played the past two weeks with an ankle injury.
