Dolphins open season at home against Jaguars
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — The wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins, Tyreek Hill, He was arrested by police on Sunday outside the Hard Rock Stadium for a traffic violation but was released, the team announced.
The traffic incident occurred about a block from the stadium, the team said. Several teammates saw the incident and stopped to offer support, according to the team.
Tyreek Hill is available to play in the team’s first game of the season against the Jacksonville Jaguarsthe organization stressed.

Sources informed Jeff Darlington of ESPN that Hill was stopped for speeding and then got into a verbal altercation with police and was subsequently handcuffed.

Hill’s agent, Drew Rosenhauscalled it “a heartbreaking situation” and called the incident “completely unnecessary.” He said he wants to make sure his client wasn’t mistreated. Seeing his client in handcuffs was “mind-blowing,” Rosenhaus added.
“We’ll investigate,” Rosenhaus said. “We’ll keep an eye on Tyreek.”
He added that he was “thankful that Tyreek is okay” and thanked the team for helping calm the situation.
Earlier on Sunday, a video emerged of Hill being handcuffed while surrounded by several police officers.
