At 21:00 today, August 8 (Tuesday), Typhoon No. 6 (Kanun) is expected to be about 50 km south-southwest of Yakushima, Kagoshima Prefecture. Part of the mainland of Kagoshima Prefecture has already entered the storm zone, and rain and wind are becoming stronger mainly in the southern part of Kyushu.

It is expected to continue moving north with strong winds, and pass west of Kyushu slowly through the night of Wednesday, the 9th.
