Nutritionist Jenna Hope describes the worst breakfast for diabetics . That is, low-fat, flavored yogurt has a higher concentration of sugar.
“When fat is removed from a product, delicacy can be affected and therefore to maintain deliciousness and taste, sugar is often added,” says Hope.
If you’re a big fan of yogurt in the morning, Hope recommends opting for full-fat Greek yogurt to help manage blood sugar levels.
Some people like granola for breakfast. However, Hope points out that some granola products are high in added sugar or syrup.
Check the cereal box to see if there’s no added sugar or you can make your own.
Hope also suggests choosing granola cereals, which have more nuts and seeds, rather than dried fruit.
