Ty Pennington and his new wife Kellee Merrell live life in New York City. To celebrate the holidays, Pennington and Merrell visited Rockefeller Center and other New York City landmarks to view all of the Christmas decorations. Their excursion comes about a month after the two tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at the house.
On Instagram, Pennington posted numerous photos from their trip to the Big Apple. Not only did the couple get to visit the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree, but they also attended a performance of The Nutcracker at the New York City Ballet before the show closed. (They announced on Wednesday that they would cancel performances until December 27 amid an increase in COVID-19 cases triggered by the omicron variant.) Now that they’ve been able to experience a bit of Christmas magic in New York, the couple will head back to their “little cottage in Savannah.” “

At the end of November, the couple got married in Savannah, Georgia, in a house they are in the process of restoring. Their marriage was a low-key affair, as there were only eight people in attendance.
The wedding of the HGTV personality came a few months after the announcement of her engagement. The couple shared the exciting news in July, with Pennington showing off the bling he chose for his partner. After the news, the Ty Breaker star spoke to PEOPLE about his relationship. He explained that they had known each other for years, but the timing finally worked when their paths crossed at the “right time”.
