The accident occurred around 6 am, on a large straight line of the RD11, which connects Gipcy and Cosne-d’Allier, at the place called “Les Placourauds”.
On board the vehicle, the only one involved, three friends living in Montluçon and Désertines.
For reasons yet to be determined, the driver lost control of his car, which crashed into the ditch violently. In the impact, the passenger installed in the rear was thrown into the field adjacent to the road, several meters from the vehicle.
Helicopter in Montluçon and Clermont-Ferrand
Polytraumatized, these two young Bourbonnais, aged 19, were helicoptered by Dragon 69 and Helismur. The first was taken care of at the Montluçon hospital center and the second at the Clermont-Ferrand CHU.
The third victim, the 18-year-old front passenger, suffered less serious injuries than his two friends. He was taken to Moulins hospital.
The firefighters of Buxières-les-Mines, Noyant-d’Allier, Cosne-d’Allier, Le Montet, Souvigny, Villefranche-d’Allier, Moulins and Montluçon, as well as the Smur, intervened. The Souvigny gendarmes are in charge of the investigation.
