Two women in UK accuse Andrew Tate of rape and violence

(ANSA) – LONDON, 09 SEPTEMBER – Two British women have claimed they were raped and subjected to other violence, including attempted strangulation, by former world kickboxing champion Andrew Tate, who is already on trial with his brother Tristan in Romania for rape, as well as human trafficking and criminal conspiracy. The two alleged victims, not involved in the cases for which the influencer known for his misogynistic and far-right positions is already facing charges, revealed their stories to the BBC Panorama programme using the fictitious names of Sienna and Anna. Both had met Tate in Luton about ten years ago and after a brief relationship the former kickboxing champion, who was then living in the city north of London before moving to Romania, had subjected them to repeated violence. In 2014, Anna went to Bedfordshire Police to report him, and other women did the same at the time, but the judicial authorities did not issue a charge due to insufficient evidence. Siena and Anna then started legal action against the influencer at the High Court in London. In the BBC investigation, another woman said she was raped by Tristan Tate. The two brothers risk a sentence of up to 10 years in Romania and are also facing an extradition request to the United Kingdom, where they face other charges and legal cases, including one regarding millions in unpaid taxes for their online activity.
