Three hikers climbed the Monte Rosa mountain range on the border of Italy and Switzerland. Rescuers reported their disappearance. Eventually, emergency services found them on the Italian side of Pyramids Vincent and took them to a mountain hut.
Extreme weather conditions made the rescue operation very difficult. The helicopter was able to land only at night. Rescuers tried to save the women, but they failed.
