two weeks after the reopening of the terraces, the virus circulates less in Hauts-de-France

The coronavirus epidemic continues to decline in Hauts-de-France, two weeks after the reopening of terraces, shops, museums, theaters and cinemas. Health measures are generally respected. This bodes well for the next stage of deconfinement.

From June 9, if the trend remains the same, the curfew will be shifted from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Bars and restaurants will be able to welcome their customers inside with suitable gauges. The sports halls will reopen. And teleworking will be made more flexible.

Declining incidence rate

The circulation of the virus continues to slow down in Hauts-de-France as in the rest of the country. The incidence rate is now 117 cases against 165 two weeks ago.

It is in the Nord department that the number of contaminations is highest with 124 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, followed by Oise (123), Aisne (111), Pas-de-Calais (108 ) and the Somme (104).

Fewer hospitalizations

The situation is slowly improving in hospitals in the region. The number of people hospitalized and patients in intensive care is decreasing day by day. The occupancy rate of intensive care beds is still a little high. It reaches 89%.

According to figures from Public Health France, 2,175 people are hospitalized to Monday May 31, 2021 in Hauts-de-France, or 340 less in one week.

We count 389 patients in intensive care, or 71 less in seven days.

40% of residents received a first dose of vaccine

In Hauts-de-France, more than 2.3 million people have received a first dose of vaccine, which represents almost four in ten inhabitants. 894,969 people are fully vaccinated.
